WHAT WE DO
BryPix is helping to alleviate poverty
BryPix uses 100% of the money from picture sales on this site to fund microloans which empower women who run small businesses in developing countries to support themselves and their families.
These microloans are managed by a not-for-profit organisation called kiva.org which works in partnership with approved microfinance partners who are local to the borrowers.
The women repay the microloans in affordable monthly amounts. BryPix pays all of the initial administration costs to Kiva, which means that the borrowers always receive the full microloan amount. After a microloan is repaid, BryPix invests the full amount again in similar new ventures.
WHy WE DO IT
I had a happy and secure childhood, because I was raised by a group of honest, thrifty and industrious working-class women who taught me to love and respect them and their values. Now, after a lifetime of professional careers with light and lenses, I want to continue to enjoy my photography and to experience the fun of seeing it used successfully and positively to pay something back.
